Soviet North Pole 1977 Arctic Molniya Wristwatch 18 Jewels

Vintage Soviet Molniya wristwatch dedicated to the 1977 Arktika expedition to the North Pole aboard a nuclear-powered icebreaker. Molniya, meaning “Lightning” in English, was a well-known watch factory whose main customer was the USSR Ministry of Defense. Specialized clocks were also produced for tanks, aircraft, submarines, and spacecraft. Case diameter: 45 mm (1.77 in). Thickness: 11 mm (0.43 in).

The movement features 18 ruby jewels. The watch has been tested and adjusted by a watchmaker.
