米国第6艦隊は、地中海に駐屯している米海軍の作戦艦隊です。
長い間、艦隊の本部はイタリアのガエータにありましたが、2004年以降、艦隊の本部はナポリに移転しました。 移管は、その時から、第6艦隊の本部がヨーロッパのアメリカ海軍の本部と単一の組織として機能するという事実によるものでした。 艦隊司令官は、ヨーロッパの米国海軍（COMNAVEUR）の副司令官でもあります。 両方の司令官は、NATO軍事組織でそれぞれの役職を務めています。
